The world’s most eco-friendly coffin.

Why?

It's time for us to rethink how we handle plastic, MDF, and other materials.

Burning and burying them is no longer an option, our planet simply can't afford it.

At Pulp, we are committed to creating sustainable innovative engineering solutions that give the Earth the time it desperately needs, even if we, as individuals, are running short on time. Together, we can make a meaningful difference and protect the future of our planet.

The idea was simple.

Make a coffin we would want.

After searching for a coffin for a dear friend who had passed away, we were struck by how difficult it was to find something that truly reflected our values. There were many products labeled as eco-friendly, but upon closer inspection, they simply didn’t live up to that promise. It was disheartening.

We knew there had to be a better way, and that’s when we realised it was time for a change.

Time to create something that truly honors both our loved ones and the planet.

The journey.

Like life, it was challenging, rewarding, and most of all, an adventure.

We set out with an ambitious goal: to create the world’s largest paper pulp product, similar to the eco-friendly packaging you might find protecting large electronics from sustainable companies, or the smaller everyday items like egg cartons we all use at home.

This wasn’t a straightforward journey—it came with its fair share of challenges. Many doubted it was even possible. But then we crossed paths with Garry from Pulp-Tec, someone who thrives on overcoming obstacles and, most importantly, believed wholeheartedly in our vision. With Garry’s expertise and passion, we teamed up to design and build the specialized machines and tools required to bring this idea to life.

Now, standing at the finish line of this incredible journey, we’re immensely proud of what we’ve achieved and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.

The important bit.

At Pulp, we have a motto that guides everything we do: ‘Would Sir David Attenborough approve?’

If the answer is no, then we go back to the drawing board.

Ever wondered what happens to your old Amazon packaging or egg cartons? Well, we put them to good use! We repurpose them, along with waste material from the paper industry. To boost strength and quality, we also incorporate locally grown agricultural waste like hemp and barley. Even the clips are made from starch! And to top it off, we only use rainwater collected on-site for our processes. Every material is 100% UK-sourced, ensuring sustainability from start to finish

100% Recycled, 100% biodegradable and 100% sustainable (no compromises).

Direct cremations.

Tested and proven.

We proudly supply a number of direct cremation facilities, where the focus is on balancing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental responsibility. These products have been rigorously tested and developed in close collaboration with Pure Cremations in the UK, ensuring they meet the highest standards.

We’ve worked hard to create something that truly performs—there’s no other product out there that can match the level of eco credentials we’ve achieved. This is something we’re deeply proud to put our name on, knowing that we’re helping to make a positive impact on both the industry and the planet.
